What We Believe
At Hisdust Ministry, our faith is rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by human authors under divine inspiration. It is God’s perfect and treasured message, given to guide and teach us. The Bible provides flawless instruction, revealing God’s will for salvation and truth without any mixture of error. It is fully authoritative in every area of our lives. Scripture: Exodus 24:4; Psalm 19:7-10; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
God
There is one living and true God, infinite in holiness and all other perfections. He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Scripture: Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22
- God the Father: Reigns with providential care over His universe.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1; Matthew 6:9; John 4:24 - God the Son (Jesus Christ): Became man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. Scripture: Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-18; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8
- God the Holy Spirit: Inspires Scripture, convicts of sin, and dwells in believers. Scripture: John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and arose from the grave. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-8
Humanity
People are created in God’s image but fall short due to sin. Only through God’s grace can we be reconciled to Him. Scripture: Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-10
Forgiveness & Security of Salvation
Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Scripture: John 3:16
The true believer is secure in salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and the power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security. Scripture: John 10:28-30; Romans 8:31-39
The Church
The church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to evangelize the lost and edify believers. Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-13; Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:41-42;
Baptism & The Lord’s Supper
Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, symbolizing faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience, memorializing the death of Jesus. We believe that both Baptism and The Lord’s Supper are not required for Salvation but need a bigger focus in our North American churches. Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
The Family
God has established the family as the foundational institution of society. Marriage, a covenant between one man and one woman, reflects the union of Christ and His church. It provides companionship, a context for biblical sexual expression, and the means for human procreation.
Husbands and wives, both created in God’s image, are equal in worth. The husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church and is responsible for leading, providing for, and protecting his family. The wife is to graciously support her husband’s servant leadership, respecting him and helping manage the household and nurture children.
Children are a blessing from conception. Parents are to model God’s design for marriage, teach spiritual and moral values, and guide their children with love and discipline. Children are to honor and obey their parents.
Scripture: Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15-25; 3:1-20; Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Joshua 24:15; 1 Samuel 1:26-28; Psalms 51:5; 78:1-8; Psalms 127; Psalms 128; 139:13-16; Proverbs 1:8; 5:15-20; 6:20-22; 12:4; 13:24; 14:1; 17:6; 18:22; 22:6,15; 23:13-14; 24:3; 29:15,17; 31:10-31; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; 9:9; Malachi 2:14-16; Matthew 5:31-32; 18:2-5; 19:3-9; Mark 10:6-12; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 7:1-16; Ephesians 5:21-33; 6:1-4; Colossians 3:18-21; 1 Timothy 5:8,14; 2 Timothy 1:3-5; Titus 2:3-5; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-7.
